CHERRY PIE COCKTAIL aka The Twin Peaks Cocktail

This is my third cherry pie cocktail. What can I say, I love Cherry Pie and I love cocktails. I also happen to be a huge Twin Peaks fan so when I found out there was a Twin Peaks Day (February 24th) this third cherry pie inspired drink was inevitable.

The CHERRY PIE COCKTAILakaThe Twin Peaks Cocktail
INGREDIENTS  1-1/4 Oz. Rye Whiskey 1/4 Oz. Cherry Heering 1/4 Oz. Amaretto 1 Oz. Cherry Juice 1 Dash Cinnamon Bitters
Garnish: Crushed Pie Crust & Sugar Rim, Luxardo Cherry
DIRECTIONS Mix a half cup of crushed, baked pie crust with 2 teaspoons of sugar. Rim the glass with some of the cherry herring, dip in the pie crust mixture then chill in the freezer. Shake the ingredients with ice until chilled. Strain into the chilled glass. Garnish with a Luxardo Cherry and serve.

CHOCOLATE MINT COCKTAILS

Chocolate and mint is a popular combination so I have combined them quite a few times over the years and come up with a few cocktail recipes.
My favorite?  My Chocolate Mojito but a classic Grasshopper runs a very close second.
