According
to the latest statistics, fifty percent (50%) of all marriages end up
in divorce. That means there's a lot of folks out there will have a
reason to enjoy this cocktail today.
The
DIVORCE MARTINI
INGREDIENTS
2 Oz Vodka
1 Oz Blackberry Brandy
1 Oz Cranberry Juice
Splash of Champagne
Squeeze of Fresh Lime
Garnish: Sugar Rim
Tools: Cocktail Shaker
Glass: Martini (Cocktail)
DIRECTIONS
Rub the rim of the glass with lime then dip into sugar.
Chill glass in the freezer.
Add the vodka, blackberry brandy, cranberry juice and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake until well chilled then strain into the chilled cocktail glass.
Top off with a splash of Champagne and serve with the divorce papers.
And does anyone else notice that National Divorce Day is the day after Federal Income Tax filings are usually due in the U.S.? Methinks there might be a connection. . . . what do you think?
