Did I say Peanut Butter and Jelly Martini? PB & J as a Cocktail? Sure, why not? It never hurts to have a little fun at happy hour.
First, if you can find the Castries Peanut Rum Cream liqueur then you'll really get that full nutty flavor of peanut butter. If you can't, you can get a nice taste from Frangelico - which is more readily available and less expensive to boot.
This is truly a unique cocktail and it really does taste like peanut butter and jelly. Serve some grilled PB & J tea sandwiches on the side.
2 Oz. Grape Vodka
2 Oz. Castries Peanut Rum Creme (or Frangelico)
1 Tsp. Grape Jelly
Garnish: Fresh grapes or a peanut butter rim.
Tools: Cocktail Shaker
Glass: Cocktail (Martini)
Shake ingredients, vigorously, with ice to emulsify the jelly. Strain into a chilled glass, garnish and serve.
Feel free to substitute another flavored jelly with a corresponding flavored vodka or liqueur. I'm partial to seedless blackberry jam and my Homemade Blackberry Liqueur.
