Nothing is more festive and playful than a big fluffy cloud of cotton candy, unless it's a big fluffy cloud of it in a martini glass just waiting to play with some booze! This is a particularly fun cocktail for birthday and bachelorette parties because it can be interactive!
Tip: You can buy pre-bagged cotton candy in a large variety of colors and flavors from Walmart and other supermarts.
Dip the rim of your glass in some of the lemoncello, then into the sprinkles. Chill your glass in the freezer. Add the raspberry vodka, lemoncello, white cranberry juice and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until chilled. Pile your chilled glass high with your cotton candy and strain the cocktail directly over the cotton candy just before serving.
The fun part is watching the cotton candy melt as the cocktail mixture is poured over!
The cranberry juice and lime juice are a must for the fruit combos as they balance out the sweetness of the flavored vodkas and cotton candy, but chocolate and vanilla flavors work great with plain soda water.
Set up a Cotton Candy Martini Bar complete with individual cocktail shakers, martini glasses, a bucket of ice, different flavors/colors of cotton candy and a fun assortment of flavored vodkas. Have a chilled pitcher of the cranberry juice and lime juice, along with some chilled cans of soda water in a bucket and whatever other assorted mixes you want to offer. Then let your guests shake their own combos and watch the merriment ensue! If you really want to go all out you can buy a small cotton candy machine.
Try this with assorted colors and flavors of cotton candy, mix and match different flavors vodkas too. I tried strawberry vodka with pink vanilla cotton candy, pomegranate vodka with orange cotton candy and chocolate vodka with cherry cotton candy (this one I substituted the cranberry juice with soda water and left out the lime!)
You can also leave out the alcohol for cotton candy mocktails for the kids!
