NAVY GROG for the NAVY'S BIRTHDAY

Honor - Courage - Commitment
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the U.S. NAVY!

A LITTLE HISTORY OF GROG

Dating back to the 1700's, grogs were originally used by the British Navy to help preserve the water supply aboard ships as well as make the stored water more palatable.

The original mixture consisted of rum combined with water, honey or molasses, lemon and spices, but todays cocktail is derived from the Tiki Bars of the 40's and both Don the Beachcombers and Trader Vic's laid claim to the modern version of this sailors libation.

ANCHORS AWAY and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
